Sadly, I could not apply it when I called them, Janitor probably got it just in time before they shipped. They said they can't do it for complete order (already in transit/shipped).

It doesn't help that I also paid $8 for the "free" shipping, great "free" shipping...

You probably chose express shipping instead of regular which is free over $49

Actually TRU is sneaky about the shipping for large items. They specifically give themselves an out for large items. I had to pay $8 for shipping 2 Devys.

They basically reserve the right to not include free shipping, even if it says so, for large packages and that is probably how they get around it in certain cases. Same thing happened with the Titanus I ordered, it wasn't free shipping, but a reduced rate.

So it looks like Devastator is sold out online and at most stores as well, Pickering and Whitby had none today. I hope that everyone whom really wanted one was able to order it. At least you can always get a raincheck for when they get them back.

You could have made 2 separate orders of 1 each and not pay any shipping, no?

Fine print says free up to $20 shipping cost. Whee.

1 Devy plus a voyager Hotspot was $24 regular shipping - $20 "free shipping promo" meant I pay $4 out of pocket for the shipping.

Still cheaper than in store, provided we use the $10 off code online.

In store (Ontario):
$132.97 + 13% hst ($17.29) = $150.26

Online:
$132.97 - $10 Cineplex code + $24.08 shipping (Ontario) - $20 "free shipping promo" (max) + 13% hst ($16.52) = $143.57

So $6.69 cheaper to buy him online with the code, for me here in S. Ontario.

Extra "ouch" if you end up like me having to return one (bought two, long story, only need/keeping one) - if the return of an online purchase is not due to broken/damaged item or error on TRU's fault, then shipping is not refunded. So you're out whatever over $20 you paid in shipping. $4 in my case.
