But ya, with each release that comes out, they get better and better. The two best valks I have are the two most recent that came out being the VF-19 and YF-30.

And yes, it does open a can of worms. I'm not a big Macross fan, but I have 7 valks from Bandai, and 2 or 3 from Yamato. But you know what? It's worth it.

Yeah, I can't say I'm anywhere of a Macross fan either; the only series that I've watched is the WAY OLD Macross Plus back in the day.

I've honestly never cared much for Macross Valkyries, but considering I really appreciated Kawamori Shoji's work in the design of the original Aquarion (still pissed that they didn't give us an full transformable Aquarion Evol, but that's a whole separate conversation), and some of the more recent Valkyries give me the same vibe, so I've just been tempted.

But my wallet probably couldn't handle yet another high-end sub-collection.

Oh man, I remember watching that back in the day when Teletoon played late night anime movies on weekends. Ah, those were the times.

Ya, me too. Macross Plus was all I knew about the franchise for many many years.

It's one of my favorite as well. I didn't mention it much, but I assume you know Bandai made a DX Chogokin YF-19. Well, its the VF-19, but it's 99% the same: http://hlj.com/product/BAN992012/Act

I've always wanted a YF-19, but the ones Yamato or Arcadia put out I felt were lacking or too expensive. Not only has this filled that childhood hole, but the engineering and sculpt is exceptional.

Just read/watched a couple of reviews for the Chogokin VF-19, and now I want one.

Still gotta try to make it to Anime North one of these years.
The closest I got was one year where I was sent to Toronto for work for a week, but they flew me out Saturday morning instead of Monday morning, and that weekend was Anime North. Was this close to going, but didn't in the end, because I didn't want to leave my travel-colleague on his own (he's not into the all the geek culture stuff).
