Transformers toy idea

I don't know if they've ever done this or not, but have they ever considered doing Transformers key racers where the cars that some them turn into can be played with the same way key racers can?

I imagine the mechanism takes up too much space to make the toy anything more then a simple 1-3 step transformation which isn't really popular

Re: Transformers toy idea

I kinda got the idea looking at three of the four micro Autobots I got from Target yesterday. I know what Throttlebots and Jump Starters are, but that's about it. I guess I was thinking maybe they could make a key Transformer that would transform about the way the Wendy's Gobot Guidestar transformed with maybe one step added to pull out the arms, and I was hoping maybe they could design it so a little key would fit in the back ejd of the car.

Now the Micro master Transformers are cool; and as much as I'd like to try to complete the collection, I'm wondering how I could find Ironworks.

I wonder why they haven't made any car transformers compatible with hotwheels race tracks. maybe plastic is not heavy enough.
