G1 confusion
So I've been rewatching G1 and there are several things that make no sense or don't follow the story line ( besides the oblivious scale differences.
There's an episode where omega talks about crystal curtains how the constructions destroyed the city but yet the constructions were built on earth how was that possible ?
Speaking of constructions being built on earth the same thing applies to the dinobots yet the first time the dinobots go to cybertron they say something about being back home?
Now on the subject of transformers being built on earth when they built the aerial bots and the stunticons they had to go to cybertron just to get them operational
How could the autobots fly in the first 3 episodes but never did after that?
If any one can shed some light on these subjects then that would be great for all I know this could have been in the comics but I never read them.
Also if you have any other confusing moments in G1 to bring up then do so, this is just all I could remember for the time being

Re: G1 confusion
I think the constructicons were damaged on cybertron and rebuilt in the caves on earth and the same with the dinobots...since they already had the personality cores or sparks of those characters they didn't need vector sigma to grant them a new spark like the aerialbots and stunticons.
It uses a tremendous amount of energon to fly, the autobots did not perfect the matter energon consumption like the decepticons did Who had the benefit of developing this ability before the great war began...when resources were plentiful while the autobots just copied them with what limited resources they had available to them during the time of the great war when supplies were extremely limited. So when they realized that while they were stuck on earth with limited energon they must conserve what little they had and not use that ability. This is just how I see it.

Re: G1 confusion
I thought the autobots flying thing had to do with this ability only occuring in the pilot. From my understanding, it was something the writers were trying out, but didnt stick. Similar instances, again in the pilot, were the use of specialised weapons for most of the bots, like Jazz's winch. Some did have occasional use of weapons later, like Prime and his axe, Trailbreaker's forcefield, Mirage and Hound's abilities and I believe Sideswipe's piledivers, but otherwise there were none beyond the pilot.
Oh, and Wheeljack doesn't count. He invented cooky shit every other episode.

Prime's axe and Megatron's mace only appear in the MTMTE 3 part-er, like the flying Autobots, and are not actually mentioned as one of their abilities.
Trailbreaker's force field, Mirage's invisibility, Hound's holograms, and SS's piledrivers are all mentioned right on their tech specs as part of their skill sets.

Re: G1 confusion
The G1 cartoon is kind of like the bible. If you study it religiously, you'll have to suspend your disbelief and take it with a grain of salt. If you overthink it, you'll just lose your mind and turn into some jabbering nutjob.

in 5 faces of darkness when rodimus and grimlock were spying on the decepticons on Char, Cyclonus comes with the sweeps saying they have to find Galvatron to rebuild their army. but when the view of the decepticons starts moving around you see Galvatron in behind them.
