Re: CW Motormaster shoulder issue

Motormaster does seem to have a softer plastic than either prime. The silvery metallic look. I notice sometimes metallic colored plastic often is a touch softer. They click in better on prime. Definitely a design flaw or underestimation considering the weight they need to support.

I think talk of mold degradation (after one use??) or cheapness is unfounded and/or sour grapes. The motormaster mold, unfortunately, had several significant design flaws. The shoulder tabs, the hip ratchets on the first batch (before battle core prime fixed them), and the pegs for blackjack/rodimus to connect. Even then, The general design leads to an unposeable lower half even with the fixed hips.

I still quite like Menasor and the individual stunticons rock. It's a shame though that silverbolt and hotspot crush him as a torso.

Re: CW Motormaster shoulder issue

Thanks for posting those shapeways units. I was going to get the nonnef adds, but now you have to order them from the UK to get shipped from Canada and the price got too high. I like that these ones are guns!!

You could also try using bondic to thicken the shoulder peg pieces, Vangelus tried it.
