I stuck it out for the 5 years to get the combiner. I waited patiently for the remolded head of this epic piece of Transformers history. Well it sure is blue and red and well it combines. OK, but not worth the price tag.

I'm not a Botconner (yet), so the only positives for me were getting access to the Iacon package (Seekers = Love) and the Seacon release. I did get one of the combiner limbs for free one year after I let me membership lapse. So I guess technically I got 5 figures for 4 years worth of membership fees.

The cons are you get your magazine well after the news has been accessible to the general public. Overall, the international fees are on the high side and sometimes a hard pill to swallow.

However, that being said... I might rejoin to get Punch-CounterPunch. We shall see.

Re: Transformers Club

Well, if Punch-Counterpunch will be released in the same way that the Seacons were, then... a Membership is NOT worth it, cause all you get is a tempting looking discount. But I like to think I saved money on the Seacons by NOT subscribing.

Canadian fans and the Official Transformers Collectors Club?

So I was looking at the preview images of the club exclusive Dion, and decided I really want this figure, as well as their Punch/Counterpunch exclusive. But I've never been a member of the club, so I was just wondering what kind of experiences Canadian fans on here have had with the Official Transformers Collectors Club (OTFCC).

Do the magazines and newsletters arrive fairly quickly, or are do fans north of the border end up waiting weeks on end after American fans have their swag? How about the shipping on the figures? I know they already charge more for the annual membership fees, on account of the extra cost of shipping the stuff up here, but what about the other exclusives that aren't part of the regular membership? Do we get soaked on those as well?

Basically... is it worth it for Canadian fans?

Re: Canadian fans and the Official Transformers Collectors Club?

I was a member last year (just really wanted Heatwave) and I had a fairlly positive experience. Heatwave arrived about a week after he started showing up down south. The "classified" paper which I hear has been discontinued arrived fairly quickly. I can't comment on ordering extra figures as there where none that I had to have.

Doesn't matter the newsletters are going online soon anyways.

There was another thread on this recently, unless you're going to Botcon, the club is useless.
