Re: Transformers Club

What about the club exclusive figures? Punch/counterpuch looks cool for this year...

I'm hoping botcon is actually going to be in Whistler this summer, if it is, I'll get a membership for sure

Re: Transformers Club

I am a member and if I was not a rampant fiction and toy whore of Transformers I would not be doing this. 80 bucks USD is NOT worth 6 sub-par magazines and a free figure that is worth less then $30 bucks in the after market.

Learn from example.

Year 1 had the Vector Prime story arc made into TPB for 14.99, Skyfall free figure worth 5-8 bucks on ebay........ yeah hrrmmm 80 bucks now? No.

All the limbs are still at the club store for NOTHING (ranging from 10 to 15 bucks) and they can't get rid of Astrotrain/Airazor and Nightbeat. Hell some of they are buy one get one free.

Actually, Skyfall and Topspin are both sold out. Last Skyfall on Ebay sold over $40, Topspin for almost $70. Airazor and Astrotrain are still clogging their stock rooms it seems, so those were clearly misses. But Punch/Counterpunch looks great.

I'm a US member who typically makes it to Botcon, so for me, it's worth the price, and next year sounds to be even more worth it. But I can't honestly say it's definitely worth it for an International member. It depends on how much you like the fiction/Incentive figure and wether or not you go to Botcon or order the Iacon Non-Attendee package.

Seriously? Topspin 70$? I have to get mine up for sale...they're still in the damned bags.

Re: Transformers Club

The only way it can be seen as breaking even is if you go to Botcon and buy a complete set of the figures, AND think the free toy is worth at least 25 bucks. I'm sorry, but the Master Collector magazine didn't really have any value to me.
