Has SWTF X-Wing Luke Skywalker been remolded?

Believe it or not, this mold now has a 3rd variation. When I spotted one in the new packaging last night, I was hoping it would have the old style hips instead of the ball jointed ones. Much to my surprise, I found out the mold now uses a 3rd system. Gone are the double hinges, gone are the ball joints. This time, you have 2 independant plates allowing the legs to move front/rear and in/out at the hip. This system offers more in/out poseability compared to ball joints, but the feet still sucks and the hips are still sitting too low. I'll try to post a picture later.

God, just tried posing the figure. The minute you try spreading the legs a bit, since the joint is notched, Luke just does the split because there's not enough friction to hold the leg between the 2 notches. So the only way to pose the figure is to have the legs perfectly straight.

Ironman has a similar problem, very hard to pose, the legs are either together, or they're spread awkwardly far apart.
