Re: Target now open for business...
I forsee the Target opening in my area to be a cleaner, less disorganized version of Zellers that doesn't smell like urine and immigrant dreams crushed by low hourly wages.

Re: Target now open for business...
I'm constantly looking beyond the hope for something better and at the likelihood of more of the same.

Re: Target now open for business...
I live in Milton and decided to take a peek. Prices are equal or more than Walmart and transformers are the same price

Re: Target now open for business...
More of the same isn't so bad from a TF perspective, if we are talking more like TRU/Walmart in Canada. Zellers wasn't really a real retailer of TFs, so now if we can at least get more places to check for harder to find guys and new stock coming in.
As for prices, Target in the US isn't even that good anymore (and some TRUs are more expensive than CDN TRU pricing!!). The days of $10 deluxes and $20 voyagers are long gone.

Re: Target now open for business...
Target won't be selling things, generally, for less than MSRP. What this does is hopefully gives us another good option for toy hunting. Targets across the border were well-stocked, much nicer than WalMart. We're not getting the American Zellers. Right now it's just TRU and WalMart as good toy sources. Another big chain also means more sales, more price-matching, and maybe even some bigger sales in general.

Re: Target now open for business...
A price comparison was done already, on a variety of items (no TF's) but overall, even though Target says they will be competitive, they are easily out done by Walmart still.

Re: Target now open for business...
I am most looking forward to more availability of TFs and maybe more waves of Prime and future generations will come to Canada mass retail. TRU has been terrible, and Walmart often doesn't stock enough.
