Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

Hi everyone,

I just got back from TFCon, my wife and I got into TCG with the demo we got to see and the tournament that was being played. We were able to get some cards around Mississauga while we were there, but haven't been able to find any place that sells them here in Quebec.

Does anyone know who sells TCG around the Montreal area? I live on the south shore, so that would be even better, but I work in downtown Montreal if need be.

Thank you

what language is on the packaging
if there is French on it then you can find at any comic bock store

but if not then your better ordering it online
because of the law that if it dose not have French packaging they cant sell it in the province of Quebec

We often see exceptions with that.
Some of the more established card shops may yet carry it. Try Check swing in Brossard.

Protoman found the cards at EBGames near Namur metro station.

Thanks, I checked Check Swing already and they didn't have any. Will check EB Games near my workplace.

You can also buy issue 7 and 8 of the new transformers comic, they both come with a pack of cards

So.. I should have asked earlier but I'll hope some of you can reply..

Montreal's Toycon that's tomorrow... is it worth me driving a few hours (from Gatineau/Ottawa) to go?

As there's a few similar "cons" and geek garage sales coming up over here that some of the sellers MIGHT be coming anyways, I've been debating the trip, especially with this heat.

If you are in the neighbourhood and you have other things to do in Montreal, why not? I used to go early in the morning, and it's was always nice, lots of people cosplaying, nice displays, etc.

The dealer room was small, if I recall. It might have changed since my last visit.

At ToyCon, I'll be looking for a Siege Ironhide. Considering it's 30$ + tax at retail, I figure I won't be able to find it for less than 45$.

May I ask why?

He's been a fairly common figure around me... Is he hard to find in Montreal?
