I'm all for Seth helping bring Trek back to TV since everything he's done INCLUDING Family Guy has been good.

I fixed that for you

Based off, copied, po-tay-toe po-tah-toe. To me that's like when one student peeks over the shoulder of another and only looks at one answer and not the rest. It still is what it is.
To put it into transformers terms. It's like Maketoys Giant and TFC Hercules are based off G1 Devastator, not copied.

Gee, thanks for the edit, J Jonah Jameson...but completely unecessary as I wasn't excluding Family Guy from my list of McFarlane's "good" productions but merely pointing out there is more to his repetoire than the animated show everyone knows him for.

The Mirror Universe.
Focus on the formation of the Terran Empire from pre-ENT, through TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY and beyond.
Each epsiode would happen in a different time period showing the evolution of the Empire and its conquests in a non-linear fashion.
Get Paramount to co-produce with either AMC or HBO so actors/actresses killed off from The Walking Dead or Game Of Thrones have a gig instantly lined up and we finally get a chance to see some fucking and swearing on Trek.
<Awaits Johnstewling's inevitable rant about how that wouldn't be in line with Roddenberry's "wagon train to the stars" vision.>

Sorry, the way you had it worded didn't imply that at all.

I have no problem with that, Deep Space Nine, nor Voyager, nor Enterprise followed Gene's vision at all.
I'd be all for a Mirror Universe Trek.

And again, you'd be wrong. Ira was the primary Producer behind DS9 and he had no interaction with JMS.
The only thing he was told was to make a starbase centered Star Trek and that's what he did.
