US Prices Revealed for Power of the Primes at TRU Shows they Keep some TLK Prices

The price hike for TLK deluxes, voyagers and leaders was pretty brutal for us in Canada. But we werent sure if it was just movie related or if those prices would continue for further lines. Well, someone in the US found Power of the Primes listings on a TRU computer and while the deluxes stay the same price, the voyagers and leaders get the TLK price hike TRU has been charging there. So there is a good chance voyagers and leaders stay at the similar $40 and $75 CDN price we have been seeing here in Canada.

Well, if that's the case and voyagers are 40 and leaders 75, I'm largely out. I may make one exception for Abominus on sale IF deluxes remain at the same price point, and we'll see what Predaking ends up retailing (higher than Trypticon = no dice). But that murders more impulse or half-interested purchases. Kills the Dinobots.

I really like a lot of what POTP is bringing but I'm not paying those prices for voyager and leader toys. Not even on sale. I choose to not afford that.

So, basically, I'll buy all the mini-pretenders b/c those are the best thing in the line anyway. ^^

HOPING that TRU Canada isn't necessarily the same. I can accept $35 voyagers. I could probably deal with $65 leaders and make sure I get everything on sale. But when 25% off is STILL more than thirty bucks, I'm just done.

I was hyped for PotP, but I can't do $30 for a Hasbro deluxe. May as well just buy the Takara releases of this line.

75 plus tax is pretty close to $100 and I pretty much consider $100-120 good quality 3p territory... Not a good move hasbro
