MP Megatron alternatives

Hi there... looking for some help and advice...
There have been a number of third party MP style Megs out. Which ones are worthy of serious consideration potentially in lieu of MP36? Thanks.

Re: MP Megatron alternatives

This may get completely bashed by some, but.... I really like the Combiner Wars leader class Megatron I have. He's been upgraded with the dx9 kit. Not exactly an MP, but he fills the role quite well for me. At less than $100 total, it's a decent toy for display.

For 3rd party alternative, I went with Appolyon but he's already transformed into gun mode and will stay that way as I have MP36 on order to be the proper MP Megatron in my display.

X-Transbots Apollyon
DX9 Mightron
Maketoys Despotron

MP-36 > Despotron > Apollyon > Mightron imo

Re: MP Megatron alternatives

I would say Appollyon. Given that he has a lot of accessories that Mightron and Despotron don't have and that his price has dropped significantly, he has good bang for the buck.

Re: MP Megatron alternatives

I owned the DX9 Mightron and really enjoyed the figure!! Only sold it to get my hands on MP36.

I never handle Maketoys Despotron but hear great things about it.

I personally never liked Apollyon or any Xtransbot figures!!

Currently Mightron. Especially with my shins and armpit fixes. Looks awesome.

Never liked the look of Despotron. Too Dreamwave-ish to me.
