Re: Brainstorm - is this a sign he's finally coming?

Nothing beats G1 Brainstorm.

Simple, classic...yes it's a brick but bricks are, um...sexy.

I own one and I'm always surprised at how much love it gets. It's one of a group of figures where I am stumped at the metrics by which the fandom evaluates figures.

The rumors about Titans Return paint them as doing a deluxe Brainstorm that will fit in with the other deluxes anyway.

This pretty much sums up almost every G1 figure based on a "Cybertronian" design, which Generations Brainstorm was designed to pay homage to. It's a good figure for what it attempts to do, IMO.

I think the Hasbro Generations Brainstorm is popular because of the IDW comics.

Well, yes.

It does have a simple transformation and the vehicle mode is classic g1 post movie "it's a jry because we day it's a jet --- from space." It's also a very faithful, fun, articulated, attractive in robot mode (I like vehicle) update if a g1 toy. It doesn't try to turn brainstorm into a new earth mode or something.

The scarcity probably affects peoples opinions of the toy. That said I really enjoy it, even if the actual transformation is pure g1. It essentially IS the g1 transformation with more joints.
