Insecticons (WIP)

Thought I'd share these with you guys. Something I've wanted to do for a while, touching into them in between commissions last few days. (I find if I stick to the same project(s) for countless hours in a row, I burn out quick those days)

I wanted to go a new route with these than the versions we've seen before. I'm trying to retain as original to G1 alt modes as I can.

Anyway, here's bombshell and shrapnel.

Top notch work. When you have them finished, how's about taking some pics of them next to their unmodified G1 counterparts.

Already there's a world of difference. Any plans on doing this with the Deluxe Insecticons?


edit: I also somehow find it fitting to have dismembered parts of other bots in the background.

haha, I finally cleaned my desk this morning. It's a headache, cause it all just doesnt "go in the trash" I need to sort through, and put certain parts and stuff where they are found later on. I plan to buy a few more sets of these guys, and take pics with the originals next to them (I think that will show the work involved better) I intend to do a combiner using about 20 insecticons soon too.

I nominate the name Pestilence Maximus for the combined form. Or just Pestilence.

Swarm would be too easy, and probably be confused with "The Swarm".

Out of curiosity, why 20? Will the combiner be a humanoid form, or that of a giant bug?

I think I'm going with the name Legion, the demon from the bible

He'll form a giant robot, AND TRANSFORM into giant insect.

Need a lot cause I want him to be huge.

These are figures where I really like the updated joint on classic molds...
very impressive looking dude - Look forward to seeing Legion as well.
