Re: POLL: Do you collect G1 figures?

Yes. I will buy a G1 over a new figure given the choice.

Yes the new figures have way better engineering, but the G1's just have a "quality" to them. They don't need to be uber poseable to be awesome.

Any of you who really don't want your G1's anymore, please feel free to drop them off at my house. I promise they'll get a good home and be well loved.

Re: POLL: Do you collect G1 figures?

i voted yes.

yes i collected g1 figs,no i don't actively pursue g1 figs anymore as i have them all.
(still working on g1 japanese and european though)
if i do actually buy a g1 fig now,it's either because it has better chrome/stickers or better condition or i want it for a bash.

Yes I do collect G1 but with current prices I find it very hard to buy right now. I could be bias though I have had some fantastic deals in the past.

0 interest in G1

Too primitive and inaccurate for my liking.

Re: POLL: Do you collect G1 figures?

I voted no.

I mean, I own some G1s from back in the day, and own several from my phase a few years back of "black-special-edition-repaints".

But one of the most important things that I, personally, look for when buying toys is whether or not they are a good toy (physically). And G1s, for the most part, don't fall into that category.

Mind you, I barely consider myself a TF collector at this point (I think I've bought somewhere in the ballpark of 15-20 TFs since the beginning of 2011), so my answer to this poll might not really be relevant anymore anyways. :P

Re: POLL: Do you collect G1 figures?

Nope, no G1 for me.
I never had any as a kid, so I've got no attachment to them.
Like others have said, I prefer the more complex engineering of the modern toys.

Re: POLL: Do you collect G1 figures?

I'd consider my G1 collection to be small, maybe 60-70 figures?

I tend to like the big guys best: FortMax, Scorponok, Omega Supreme, Metroplex. The big guys that don't have robot modes don't capture my attention though (no Trypticon or Sky Linx).

Re: POLL: Do you collect G1 figures?

I voted no because I used as a kid but only really got into collecting 2 years ago. I also have no means of making online purchases. I do have 2 g1 figures outback and the robot from pretender bumblebee which I found both at value village
