Cosmos is frustrating because they took a season 2 character who needed a deluxe-size update, put him in a store exclusive line, and shortpacked him due to, allegedly, not thinking he would sell that well. Which is frustrating and irritating.

Beachcomber is in the main legacy line and should be available at any and all toy stores. That he's being simply not offered is wild...

At least Beachcomber can be easily preordered. The preorder window for Cosmos was pretty short.

Amazon US still has Beachcomber available for preorder, if anyone wants to go that route.

Also a lot of the site sponsors have them up for preorder (and not sold out). So someone could go that route to avoid the extra costs of getting them from the US.

Re: GameStop.ca (formerly EB Games) Transformers Sightings and discussion

so I want to to order something that's 36.99, and because of platinum it drops it to 33.29... and drops it below the $35 free shipping threshold so now it's $8 for shipping. Is there no way? Is there really no way!? charge me 36.99 gamestop, GAH

Just buy it with a new account without the platinum status.

Isn't there a guest option to checkout? Or find a filler like stationary or funko pop.protector.

Buy 2 and return the second one in store.

I didn't try, and this is complete speculation, but I feel like gamestop is a place where they would have some policy against it, and if you try to make multiple accounts they would take issue and close all of them.

There really should be guest checkout. or at least a way to activate/deactivate platinum discounts for orders. I tried to checkout without logging in and it eventually goes to a page asking you to register/login. I ended up buying some cheap filler stuff to complete order, good idea.

This could work but for me it seems like some extra hassle.
