As I mentioned in the podcast, the reissue of Galvatron (both the purple version and this Galvatron II one) came with new sounds and a new sculpted face.

The Armada story that Stapler is refering to is World's Collide, this is a Galvatron from yet another alternate Universe and helps Unicron go from one timeline to another destroying not only everything in preperation for his planet sized master, but also to kill any Megatron of that timeline. He was about to finish off Armada Megatron but the Star Saber team showed up which turned the battle in A-Megatron's favor.

You mentioned a lot lol. Are the sounds different or the same between the purple Galvatron and Galvatron II?

They are both the same. But different from the original Hasbro/Takara 1986 release.

Apparently those yellow/gold details on Galvatron II are just self-applied stickers! Kind of weak if you ask me. I would have guessed that E-Hobby would have actually painted this "re-colour" in some way.
