I believe at Botcon 2005 there were sets of Energon weapons that were given with the sets or could be purchased on the side. Mostly it were the scout axes and spears if I'm not mistaken. Definitely a good idea but I'd prefer them "movie style" with solid colours.... translucent weapons make no sense to me :P

In a perfect world they would be both, solid weapons with translucent blades/missiles.

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 25 - The Force Unleashed

Japan had tons of promotions with it's Energon counterpart Superlink that had stand alone packaged weapons in different colors of the existing molds for your troops.

There was an BUTT LOAD of them. (Busts out the list)

Using Strongarm's Energon Axe mold
Light Blue (TRU Japan exclusive with purchase)
Black (Ito Yokado exclusive with purchase)
Dark Green (TV Magazine pack in with another weapon listed below)
Light Green (Hello Mac exclusive with purchase)
Purple (Justco exclusive with purchase)
Orange (Came as an extra pack on with Roadbuster Wild)

Using Skyblast's Energon Spear mold
Light Blue (TV Magazine pack in with another weapon listed above)
Orange (Justco exclusive with purchase)
Yellow (TRU Japan exclusive with purchase)
Pink (Ito Yokado exclusive with purchase)
Clear (TRU Japan/Justco/Hello Mac exclusive with purchase)
Red (Came as an extra pack on with Skyfire Sonic)

Using Divebomb's Energon Dualblade mold
Copper (TRU Japan exclusive with purchase of Overdrive)

Using Cruellock's Energon Blade mold
Black (TRU Japan exclusive with purchase of Nightscream)
Purple (Came as an extra pack on with Galvatron General)

Using Signal Flare's Energon Shield mold
Yellow (TRU Japan exclusive with purchase of Hot Shot)
Pink (Came as an extra pack on with Hot Shot Fire)

Using Insecticon's Energon Drill mold
Yellow (Came as an extra pack on with Nightscream Rebirth)

The weapons GMfan is refering to are the Alpha and Omega spears given out at OTFCC 2004 to people who filled out a survey at the Hasbro table, these also came with matching Energon Chips. It was using the Skyblast Spear mold and Alpha was Blue and Omega was Purple.

Hope that helps ^_^''

Oh it helped alright... Helped make me depressingly jealous that the Japanese get such goodies! Seriously, though, that was pretty thorough. Thanks, man!

Have you tried on other media players other then windows? Quicktime? iTunes....I know my WMP is messed so I usually use an alternative....I can't figure out why it's fudged either, just everything it plays is choppy.
