I believe at Botcon 2005 there were sets of Energon weapons that were given with the sets or could be purchased on the side. Mostly it were the scout axes and spears if I'm not mistaken. Definitely a good idea but I'd prefer them "movie style" with solid colours.... translucent weapons make no sense to me :P

In a perfect world they would be both, solid weapons with translucent blades/missiles.

Japan had tons of promotions with it's Energon counterpart Superlink that had stand alone packaged weapons in different colors of the existing molds for your troops.

There was an BUTT LOAD of them. (Busts out the list)

The weapons GMfan is refering to are the Alpha and Omega spears given out at OTFCC 2004 to people who filled out a survey at the Hasbro table, these also came with matching Energon Chips. It was using the Skyblast Spear mold and Alpha was Blue and Omega was Purple.

Good Lord,so many colours!Why?

Anyways,I haven't listened to the Podcast.Seem to be having trouble with media player for some reason,so I might have to save the file and listen to the rest of the crash course some other time.

Have you tried on other media players other then windows? Quicktime? iTunes....I know my WMP is messed so I usually use an alternative....I can't figure out why it's fudged either, just everything it plays is choppy.
