This is actually the mode I keep mine in. To get this mode, simply don't transform his legs, but fold up his feet like you'd do for bot mode.
Ok that is the most unique fan mode for a Transformers I have ever seen. Awesome!

Dude, Downhill mode may make me reconsider my dislike for that figure.

Tobogganing. Trading pelts. Whatever he's doing, I'm proud that it's a part of my heritage.

Beast Wars Mega
Godless Killing Machine

Ok so it's just Polar Claw.

A quick little history lesson:
Polar Claw is quite the mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in deception. Though the Original use of his mold, promotional images spread by HasKen showed... a very different bear.

COLLECT THEM ALL! What is this, pokemon? Doesn't matter because these toys were never made in these colours.

Well, that's not entirely true. BotCon gave us Sandstorm, and orange Scorponok, while BotCon Japan gave us Barbearian, who used Grizzly-1's colour scheme. The mold was repainted one more time as Survive for the Japanese series Beast Wars Neo, but I'm sure you already knew that.

Adding to this, Polar Claw's original commercial featured a CG rendering of the character, as discussed previously in Canadian Slag. This leads to rumors circulating that Polar Claw may have at one point been planned to join the show, much like the topic covered in a previous shitty thread of mine which was ultimately feautured in the same episode of CS.

But I'm getting off track here, because we're here to talk about toys.

The only real downside is the choice of Red... it doesn't get covered up much, so it sticks out worse than a toy collector in a nightclub.

But I'll be damned if he doesn't turn this around with awesome gimmicks.

The first of such is his right front leg, which fires most of itself via springs and levers. The best part? the projectile is a bat.

Much like Scorponok's Infamous Cyber-bees, Polar Claw has a Bat Drone. This gimmick is one I'd really like to see revisited, having a partner drone seperate from the main toy. I mean, we have Mini-cons, but those are separate transformers. This is more like another weapon in this guys arsenal.

NOT THAT HE NEEDS IT.

Not only is he a godless killing machine, his left front leg can extend even further, in case he needs to kill you from a slightly further distance. Such overkill.

BUT WE'RE NOT DONE YET

The third, and perhaps physically most impressive, is this.

You go from okay bear...

To furious rage death fang bear.

What's most impressive about this is the gimmick travels through his entire body, even mass that will end up transforming.

SPEAKING OF WHICH

http://images.wikia.com/transformers...d/Tf_sound.ogg

okay, so he's not much like

But he's still PDC.

And with this mode, comes the standard fare 1996 head gimmick.

TADA!

The other face is... mostly hidden.

MMM... those rippling robo-muscles.

Eat feet you shelfwarmer!

Fin
