Those who said a pick up fee makes sense must be out of your mind. Where have you pay a pick up fee the last time you buy stuff elsewhere?? 79.99 + 3 USD is more expensive than many other places... I don't understand why some still think it is a good deal.. Is it because they are selling it at 89.99 at the store? Woah... Seriously I don't understand how you shop whoever just commented that. That's the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time! There are many other places u can get them from. But it's your money, so do what you want I guess.

Exactly. North American retailers buy from their suppliers overseas at retail price, then pay to have it all shipped here, then add a decent mark-up for their profit. So obviously it'll be more to buy here. A3U and other retailers aren't in it for charity or to "help fans". Like every other business, they're in it for the money. 40% mark-ups are hardly unusual.

I choose to buy locally because I often have problems when I buy overseas. I'd rather pay extra and let A3U or Automaton deal with the hassle.

They don't seem to have a pre-order up for Wheeljack at the moment. I've got Wheeljack and Bumblebee pre-ordered through A3U. I may cancel them if I can get a better price elsewhere. I pre-ordered Streak from them as well and he is in transit. From BC all the way to NS, Can. Post tracking tells me it's going to take 12 days. :P

Maybe its just me but I have a hell of a time using hlj's website.

How do you find pre orders etc. Even just finding transformers on their page was a massive headache for me...

i ordered from Hong Kong, and mine is already in Markham (arrived there Wednesday night) tracking says it should be here in 3 to 7 days.

Crazy how i may get mine first from China, when you paid more, and ordered from B.C.

Maybe next time we should do a group buy for Halifax and split the costs, and save even more.

None of the Japanese retailers have pre-order up for MP Wheeljack or Bee because they are not even officially announced by Takara. BBTS and all the other importer jumped the gun, but Japanese retailers don't do that.
