Has there been any official or unofficial/fan-made, material (like comic books) out there trying to bridge the 20 years gap between G1 Season 2 (Earth Year 1985) and the Movie (Earth Year 2005)?

I haven't come across any. But I am curious what happened during that 20 years. We only know from the beginning of the Movie that the Decepticons had conquered Cybertron and the Autobots are stationed at the 2 moons.

Kinda like all those Star Wars comic books bridging the 19 years between Ep. III and Ep. IV...

And where did Daniel come from?

Isn't Daniel meant to be Spike and Carly's kid? They never say any ages, but I think Spike says in the movie "tell my son Daniel I miss him..."

DW's original series was supposed to bridge the gap, but after their early success, they decided to make it their own continuity.

As far as I know, there hasn't been anything official that has covered that time period in the G1 cartoon universe.
