Sounds like you're and alternator fan, alternatorfan!

I love them, but only have 2 - Hound and Sideswipe.

Agree... They are like MPs, but with extreme focus on the alt-mode instead of robot mode.

Once I finish, or get close to finishing, my G1 collection, I'll probably see about getting the Alternators, and likely Binaltech. Or, if they re-released them, or brought back the line with new ones... Updated alt-modes from the same G1 line? Sideswipe & Sunstreaker as a Lamborghini Aventador and/or a Huracán Evo?
