I mean I missed out on CW Sky Lynx, and now there's a Commander sized one on its way.

Also in the long run, patience will always yield results. I had pretty much given up on getting TM2 Black Arachnia at a decent price. I had wanted one since it came out, but distribution wasn't so good. Ten years later, I walk into collectibles shop, and there she is sitting in a case for more than a reasonable price.
Same story here.

I've been looking for both CW Quickslinger and Brake-Neck since they were released online. I don't know why I didn't just buy them when they were regular price! Anyway, eBay and aftermarket prices blew my dream out the window for a while. Then suddenly, when browsing the two once again, boom! A seller had them for 25$ US each. With the conversion and shipping, I paid around 33$ each. Not a bad price considering the alternatives. I couldn't believe it, and now they're mine.

Patience does indeed pay off.

Re: How deep are yall willin' to go for a specific figure?

These days I'm out of town for work most of the time, and when I'm home I mostly wife and kid, so I have little time for the hunt. I preorder everything I can to prevent missing items in store while I'm away and having to hunt through stores when I'm home. Lately I've been preordering through A3U. I try to do larger shipments rather than a bunch of small ones so I'm not chasing boxes. Preordering regular retail releases isn't the cheapest way to go since I don't catch sales, but my time is worth more than the few bucks I'd save.

As a friend of mine says, "you can make more money, you can't make more time."
