I Need help with my Pay Pal Claim

So i bought a pair of figures from this guy in january. Pay Pal has asked me to show some documentation so i can get a refund

To continue with the investigation of your complaint, we must request
documentation to support your claim that the item is not authentic. Please
obtain a document from an unbiased, third-party, such as a dealer,
appraiser, or organization that is qualified in the area of the item in
question (other than yourself), which clearly identifies the item as not
authentic. The document must specifically state how the item received
differs from an authentic item and must include a detailed explanation of
how the person evaluating the item determined that it is not authentic. If
possible, the document should include a serial number, and must be on
letterhead that includes the name, address, and phone number of the
business or organization so that PayPal may contact them if necessary.

But I am not sure where I can get this? I have till April 9th to Fax it to them. I bought an "Alternators Grimlock and Wheeljack" is what it said (Here is a link to a post i posted here with some pictures of the items http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showt...ight=stoneclaw

Basically These ones are metal, a lot heavier and just tons of differences. Chinese Knockoffs of Binaltechs. If anyone can help me or know someone who can help me I would really appreciate it.

Re: I Need help with my Pay Pal Claim

if you have any authentic binaltech boxes, you can take comparison pictures of the fake and the real box together, because there's a lot of minor differences in the KO version. the ages3andup website has a few shots of the Prowl KO with the box. Hopefully that could help a bit.

Maybe there's a review of that KO on the A3U website? I know Spencer reviewed of bunch of them, detailing all the differences with the real ones.

Hey Stoneclaw, did you buy these off ebay? If so can you post the link so we can peek at the description. From what I can see a simple side by side photo of your package with a genuine package should resolve it pretty quick. (Pointing out the obvious) After photo documentation you could write up a letter of "facts" and have someone like Chinook Hobby sign off.
My biggest concern for you at this point would be on the wording of the sale if you did indeed buy it off ebay.

Boxes say Transformers binaltech and If you look at a few side by side ones of grimlock for example

http://www.tfsource.com/articles/BT10.html

So should i just find a dealer and just ask em to verify that it is indeed a fake? Or could someone here do it for me and just e-mail me one

Being the administrator of this organization Cybertron.ca and a dealer my expert opinion is that these are indeed fake Transformers and not produced by TakaraTomy or Hasbro who are the only companies that can legally produce Transformers toys. Hopefully that is enough to support your claim.

PM me if you require more.

EDIT: Looks like they want a full report written, I can do something up in the near future, just PM me as I have a lot going on and might forget.

Very cool of you to offer. I had that thought in the back of my mind but it wasn't my place to suggest. Can't ask for a better 3rd party expert than that.

Re: I Need help with my Pay Pal Claim

These are fake for sure. simple reason that they have chinese characters on it. real binaltec would have either japannese or english on it. Even in the box it looks like crap.

just say this. "If the toy was meant to be sold in either the japannese or the western market. Why would it have chinese character on it?"
