What is your first TF collectible?

I am just curious as to what was the first thing you got that made you a TF fanatic like me.

Mine was the original Marvel TF comic. I was hooked on the first issue and have been ever since.
As for the toys. It was an original pre-rub Jazz. I have always loved sports cars

Re: What is your first TF collectible?

I don't remember exactly... Just my best friend showing me a red truck... then turning the red truck into a robot... and then watching my face explode as a result..
Then dumping out a whole bin full of these magical vehicle/robots... He gave me one, but I don't remember which one it was (probably something shitty like Cosmos), but I was hooked after that.

Hasbro Masterpiece Prime, then I had to buy the smokestacks upgrade and then came the trailer and sadly the rest is history. Damn I coulda bought a car with all the TFs I own over the past 5+ years.

It all kicked off when I found a G2 Optimus & Megatron at at a garage sale, back in 1997...the rest is history.

Re: What is your first TF collectible?

Boy that is a tough one, but the easy answer is the original cartoon, I used to watch the hell out of that show in the late 80's and early 90's when it used to air on YTV. Transformers remained my fondest 80's related memory probably, sure I watch other big shows, but that was my true love.

As for toys? I can't really remember, I remember getting lots of great G1/2 toys from my parents, but the two that stick out in my mind is the G1 Wheeljack my dad got me by collecting all of the old points off of boxes back in the day, and the Terrorcon Cuthroat from my sadly deceased grandfather. Though both are broken and useless toys and I have new and more intact versions of them now I still keep them for the memores.

Other then that I can say it was the Autobot Brothers from RiD that got me back into collecting in high school, which spawned a flurry of collecting that nabbed me things such as the Stunticons and Protectorbots. After that it was Movie Barricade and Blackout that got me back in with the 07 movie and brought me back in lock, stock and barrel to the fandom where I remain today.

Re: What is your first TF collectible?

I am fairly sure that the first issue of the Marvel comic was the very first TF related item I ever got... and still have to this day.

It was either that or G1 Prowl... but I think the comic came first.

I am pretty sure the comics came first. I still have my originals as well. I cherish them. They may be worn but they are priceless to me. 1984 was a good year.
