Well my brother and I were into TFs as kids (and luckily kept all of them). But I'd my first 'collectable' was 20th Ann. (MP) Optimus Prime which really kicked off my actual collecting. When I saw pics of him from a Japanese toy show, I was amazed. I also pics of the first Alt/BTs in that series of pictures, both the Alt/BTs and MP Prime were really what got me interested in the toys again. I've always been a fan but never collected until then.

My first TF was G1 Optimus Prime that I purchased at Consumer Distributors with my paper route money...my brother had G1 Sixshot...my mom sold both at a garage sale...only if I knew 20 years ago...aaahhhh memories...

Xmas 85 or 86. I got Grapple, Astrotrain, Thrust, Jetfire, Grimlock and Cosmos. Then my head exploded.

Although technically, my first Transformer was some knock off, a yellow car from a mini store inside a Knob Hill Farms...It was so poorly molded that some parts were too tight and I had to get my uncle to pry it open since I couldn't do it as a kid.

I had Transformers toys as far back as G1 but those have been either lost, thrown away or packed so deep in my parent's basement that they might as well be gone. The oldest figures that I actually have are a couple Beast Wars ones. TM Megatron and TM2 Megatron.

Then watching the Beasties episode with Ravage in it making the transforming sound got me back into collecting again.
