Re: Generations Leader Jetfire

I've got Daca Toys Kronos on the way next week. I doubt I will have a great desire for this after I get it. Although it could be a disappointing mess.

I saw the transformation of Kronos in a video and all I can say is it is not what I expected.

Re: Generations Leader Jetfire

Season 1, Episode 5, "Fire in the Sky" He was a buddy of Starscream who crash landed on earth eons before the Ark. In similar fashion to Bay's Megatron's earth origins. In fact, I'll bet its where the idea came from.

Edit, don't know off hand how many episodes, but he was prominent in the cartoon seasons 1&2

Re: Generations Leader Jetfire

I'm stoked as well...although I didn't know he was released in a previous line. He's Leader class and has a spot in my collection And at this price, I'm pretty sure I'll find him in the wild.

Although...I thought he was going to have eye sockets like the cartoon, but apparently not? I always thought the cartoon JF looked a bit goofy, but at least he'd be facially screen accurate (which I think that Kronos will be). But this will be ok, kinda reminds me of the Skyfire toy's visor look.

He's going to have both eyes and a visor. The visor look is a battle mask. The old voyager Jetfire had a removable battle mask and so does this so you can select between a more G1 cartoon accurate look or a toy accurate look.

The photo on the right is a little more pixelated and jaggy looking due to the image having been stretched or resized.. you can really tell in the wings.

I do prefer the one on the left however... just all around better paint apps.

The extra paint apps are a nice touch.

What I can't understand is why Hasbro removed them. From what I can see there are 3 missing apps that are all pretty minor, in my opinion. The red at the feet, extending the red line on the chest, and the black accents on the legs. I guess they make all the difference in cost.

Definitely not. It really cheats. But if the QC is decent, he's going to look awesome.

Re: Generations Leader Jetfire

Let's hope for awesome! But to be honest, I'm not nearly as picky about how he turns out...as long as he's not broken, cracked or has smeared paint, I'm happy! And as long as I buy from Walmart, I can OCD return at will until I get the one I want!
