Re: First Look at Transformers 5 Optimus Prime
Please! Everybody stop going to the theatre to see these horrible movies! We will never get a good Transformer movie as long as Hasbro thinks Bay is doing a good job.

Re: First Look at Transformers 5 Optimus Prime
Well from their point of view he is doing a great job.
TF1 $709,709,780
TF2 $836,303,693
TF3 $1,123,794,079
TF4 $1,104,054,072
Hasbro puts up $1,000,000 and takes 1% of the revenue in return.
TF1 $7,097,097
TF2 $8,363,036
TF3 $11,237,940
TF4 $11,040,540
That's a great return on investment.

Re: First Look at Transformers 5 Optimus Prime
I am not a fan of the movies per se but the more money they make the more money they invest in brand.
I can deal with the average person thinking transformers is just a shitty action movie if it means we get some good toys as a result.

Except that it only makes Hasbro even more greedy and cheap. Other than MP (which is Takara's project and so not dictated by Hasbro's bean counters), most of what we get these days are small, hollow, unpainted, dumb figures.

Are you suggesting that the opposite, failure at the box office, would make Hasbro less greedy and less cheap?
