I've noticed this as well, and this is my biggest red flag as to why I haven't yet. I've seen some things I want, but the site seems to have been in a beta stage for a long time, and no contact info for at least a year, maybe more...... I'd like to think that if it were safe, they would be easy to contact and have information available.

Just my 2 cents......

PS: I am a registered member, as I find it a great tool for cataloging my collection.

Re: Has anyone purchased from Shelflife.net?

I've been trying for over a month now on various items with absolutely no success. I've posted questions that should go to the buyer and I've yet to hear back from any of them to find out if what they have for sale is actually available

I would hope the site picks up or changes a bit since they recently got some extra funding thanks to the "Dragons"

EDIT: Hmm, dunno if anything has changed since March, but seems the deal with the Dragons is on hold

Re: Has anyone purchased from Shelflife.net?

I bought something (can't remember what) for like $15 or so via Shelflife way back when. It went very quickly and smoothly. No communication between buyer and seller, though.

Haven't managed to sell anything yet, though. I think I should lower the prices, though shipping is what really kills the items.

Anyways, as for the no contact between buyer and seller, Shelflife doesn't want people to bypass the site's system.

As it is, when you buy, you send Shelflife the money, and Shelflife sends the money to the seller after the seller ships directly. I think there's a receive confirmation, but it's been a LONG time.

That way if there's an issue, Shelflife can refund the buyer's money, and then use their bulk to go after the seller for the refund. In theory.

Anyways, I'd actually buy more through there (if I were in a buying mode, which I'm not at the moment), but shipping just kills it.

If I want something for like $10, then I want it for $10 total cost, not $10 plus like $15 shipping. Damn you, Canada Post.

Bought an item that never arrived. When talking to shelflife they said to put in a dispute with paypal to get my money back but at that time the 45 days had passed. I had emailed the seller with no reply ever so I got screwed. No item and no money back.

Im glad it wasn't much money but it still sucks.

Seriously guys, APEFACE. AAAAPEFAAAACE.

I really like Apeface. Especially if Jizai is taking a crack at him.
