So that's a big huge nope. So much for that price reduction based on it being smaller than previous Commander class figures.

There was never even a hint at price reduction. It being smaller had nothing to do with it. Leader class figures from Siege were shorter than before and yet the leader price increased. Size and class have not been related for years.

I thought there might have been a price reduction as well since in America they're paying $80 USD instead of $90 USD (Jetfire and Sky Lynx were originally $90 USD initially).

Places might have sold them for 90 but the Marlins for commander has always been 80. Here is Skylynx's product page from Hasbro proper

They were released last summer, they are sold out at this point.

I saw it in store at ages 3 and up a few weeks ago. the website says sold out but you could try calling them to see if they have any floor stock they take from
