Re: A3U Closing?

Anyone else with pending pre-orders with A3U? I've got a couple items that I guess won't come now

I hate to start kicking A3U while it's down, but I'm wondering how they'll refund preorders. Cheque? Cash? Within a month?

Re: A3U Closing?

Sorry to hear about this Spence. Totally sucks dude. It's Stef from Reprolabels. I've been trying to get a hold of you via email, not sure if you're getting them. Please get a hold of me about the stuff to send. Hope all is well dude!

Wow. Taz Comics. Brings back memories. I used to have a box there, what... over 16 years ago now. Mom and dad used to drive me there on weekends so I could pick up comics while they waited in the car. Jeeze, I am one old mofo. heh

On topic though, hopefully Spencer can continue on in some form or another with the community. Perhaps online only store? Regardless, all the best.

Re: A3U Closing?

Sorry to see A3U go like this... The economy truly is a bad place right now, and everyone suffers.

But good luck to Spencer for the future, and here's hoping he finds his feet soon enough. I only wish I had the funds to spare to buy something from the store before it closes.

Seconded, a store owner that acts as if the costumer owes him something is doomed to fail.

I've had several poor transactions with Spence that had me shaking my head wondering how this man is in the retail business.

Regardless, best of luck in your future endeavors spence, always sad to see a online toy retailer fold. Hopefully Automaton toys can fill the void left by A3U

Re: A3U Closing?

I never got to see the Metrotown store - they were in the older location when I lived in Vancouver...

...and now I never will.

Sigh.

(Good luck, Spencer.)

Re: A3U Closing?

Anyone else owed money from A3U since they closed down?

I called the store and Spencer told me I could either go to his store or get it through paypal. I said either option works for me. I then went into the store and the girl helping me at the time called Spencer and he said that he will paypal me the money. It's been 9 days now since they have closed and I still don't have the money. I know he could be in the process of returning the money so I was wondering if anyone else is receiving their money now?

Thanks

Re: A3U Closing?

1 question Spence, when's your friend opening his comic store? Still don't know? I really want to get Alliance and Defiance.

Re: A3U Closing?

It's been a couple months now since the store closing... has anyone had any luck getting their orders filled or getting their money back?

I never got to meet the guy, but Spencer seemed like a nice guy through e-mail. I have to say, too bad the store didn't work out, but it's pretty upsetting when an order places almost 2 years ago isn't fulfilled. And worse, I don't even get a refund back!

If anyone here has received their stuff recently, or has any ideas on how to get in touch with Spencer, please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
