Yes, you are correct.

Between the large Optimus Prime and Bumblebee figures that were just released (the ones lacking both paint and articulation for $30) and these new up-scaled figures, not sure what's going on.

EDIT: Oh, and don't forget they're removing the combiner pegs on the Predacons as well

Shame that the voyager Prime and Predaking are just upscaled commander class figures. That said, with the better deco, the new voyager Predaking looks better than the old voyager one. And we're getting a deluxe Prowl that isn't just the upscaled legion version.

Perhaps this is one of the contributing factors as to why Aaron Archer left Hasbro, considering that this not only is abhoring for us as fans and collectors, but would be a real slap in the face to the design and engineering team who are basically losing out on making figures for the deluxe and voyager line up in place of the up-scaling of the Legion figures.

I certainly wouldn't say no to this theory of mine personally, I mean they work hard, but when Hasbro starts taking Legion designs and just up-scaling them doesn't that also take away from the design teams resources and paycheck?

Again this new direction that big H is taking is just opening up the doors wide for third party to come in and fill the void this will create,... seems they are intent on ruining this line for collectors that have supported them these 30 years past, while making a mediocre toy line for far to much cost and numerous, more than normal q/c issues

I just thought someone confused the legion class with deluxe. I really hope this is a mistake and not the future of Tranformers. Next we will have leader figures the size of deluxe figures.

New show accurate Bumblebee and Smokescreen repaints would have been nice over these, it's like Hasbro is producing Oversized KOs under their own name.
