TF Prime questions

I heard that Transformers Prime is a sequel to both WFC and FOC games. If that's the case, why is the story in TF Prime different than WFC and FOC? You never heard of the story of Darkmount Pass ,the Decepticons capturing Bumblebee in Tigerpax and have Megatron rip out his voicebox or even Wheeljack being a Wrecker. Unless I am mistaken or have the wrong info, it would be really appreciated if somene can clarify this for me.

Thanks

Re: TF Prime questions

Hasbro said something about the cartoon series being the most canon and they will change elements to fit the overall story.

Re: TF Prime questions

Supposedly WFC/FOC and TF:Prime are part of an Aligned Continuity that shares the same history and mythology. In actuality it's somewhat inconsistent and it doesn't really work except in the broad strokes. TFwiki has a pretty thorough discussion about this whole mess.
