I resise my photos before I upload them, with my Canon camera software. Saves me time and is quicker. You can always change the size in your camera before you shoot too, if this helps.
There are free resizes on the web

I have almost 1000 pics on there, taking away page numbers was the dumbest thing they could have done

Re: photobucket gripe
I used to find their bulk uploader very useful. Then they made it harder to find, but I knew it was around somewhere, and still somewhat useful (although I would get weird errors and have to reupload 2-3 pictures out of a batch.
I haven't been to it recently, but I'm dreading it after hearing these user complaints.

^this.
i also found that the bulk uploader never really worked too well for me.
if i uploaded/selected 10 pics,it would always say a problem occured....after waiting almost 10 minutes staring at the screen and the green bars that never grew.
low and behold,if i only selected/uploaded 3 at a time,it would actually load, but even then it'd still take its sweet a$$ time to do it

Re: photobucket gripe
If you want an easy and care-free bulk uploader, seriously consider flickr. I use flickr's "Desktop Uploadr" and it handles bulk uploading with ease. I uploaded 500 pics from my vacation at once and it didn't have any problems.

Re: photobucket gripe
If you just want it for web forums try http://imageshack.us/
It's simple, browse, resize (if desired), upload then copy paste the link to your thread.

Yeah, I used to use Imageshack back in 2005-2006 before I discovered Photobucket...
But I dislike how Imageshack is just something you upload to and forget about. I want a place to store, manage and keep pictures/videos.
