Haven't posted in a while.
From March 12th (and just forgot to post):
-
[PS3 game] Soul Calibur V [
used, from a reseller on
Amazon.ca]
Gradually getting older "Soul" games that I'm missing for cheap.
From April 10th (came in while I was out)
-
[PS4 game] Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai [
MISP, from
Limited Run Games]
Funny story about this game.
When I was in Tokyo in September 2018, I had in my hands "Blade Arcus from Shining EX" and "Koihime Enbu" at a store. Ended up buying Blade Arcus over Koihime Enbu because it was 2000yen vs 3200yen.
Good thing too, because I found out that Koihime Enbu got an upgrade (RyoRaiRai) in July 2018, but was a PSN Store digital-only game.
Then Limited Run Games revealed that they were releasing this as a physical disc. Score!
For those who don't know, Limited Run Games is a company that makes small (and limited, of course) runs of digital-only games, but as a physical copy for collectors.
---===---
And I just came back from another trip to Tokyo for ~11 days!
This time with the wife instead of a few buddies.
Here's a pic of the full haul:
Gundam stuff:
-
Gundam Base Limited - Unicorn Gundam Perfectabilty (Destroy Mode) [

The Gundam Base]
-

The Gundam Base]
I'm going to keep buying one exclusive kit per visit to the Gundam Base.
Was torn between the Unicorn Perfectability or the MG RX-78-2 ver3.0 Clear Version, but decided on the Unicorn since it'll go better with the previous exclusive HG Unicorn I got last time.
Kamen Rider stuff:
-
SG Kabuto Lockseed [
Loose, from... some store in Akihabara. All I saw on the sign was "Anime Figure Game"]
-

[PS1 game] Soul Edge [

[DC game] Capcom vs SNK 2 [
MISP, from
Surugaya Akihabara Museum]
Wanted to get the Hori Hub Stand, and it turned out to be about $7CAD cheaper getting it from Yodobashi than from Amazon.ca.
The Kirby and Waddle Dee set is the expansion to the Tsumu Tsumu stacking game that I got back in 2015.
The Switch case keychains are awesome! They can each hold one Switch game!
The PS1 games were bought while on a hunt when meeting up with a friend. I still need copies of the US PS1 Resident Evil 2 and Soul Blade, but at 100yen each, I really couldn't complain.
Also got a bunch of arcade parts (buttons/balltops) from MAK Japan, but didn't feel like including them in the pic.
Funny thing is that I was originally super-stoked to pick up Blade Arcus Rebellion from Shining (released March 14th) and Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 (released March 20th) both on Switch, because timing was awesome, but when I saw them in-hand, they just felt too expensive (considering the exchange rates) for "expansion" games to stuff I already have... so I passed on both of them.
Book stuff:
-
Hobby Japan May 2019 issue [
MISP, from
BIC Camera Akiba]
-
Triage-X vol 18 [
MISP, from
Gamers]
-
Maken-Ki vol 22 [
MISB, from
Toranoana]
As always, I buy the available Hobby Japan issue while I'm in Japan.
And up-to-date on my manga again! Triage-X 18 came out sometime last November, but Maken-Ki 22 came out 2 days before I was leaving! Awesome timing.
Other stuff:
10 coasters from the Eorzea Café
1 coaster from the Gundam Café
1 coaster from the Peanuts Café
a bunch of cards from the Gundam/Kamen Rider/DragonBall Heroes arcade games
In retrospect, we should've booked the Square Enix Café instead of the Eorzea Café; Eorzea is mostly FF14-related, which neither me or my wife have played.
