Expectations for TFcon 2023?

Hey,
What are everyone's thoughts on heading to TFcon 2023 this year?

The Buy/ Sale forum seems to be a bit light with people posting things ahead of time?

Normally I'd have like 10+ deals worked out about now, but I think I'm only at 2.

Has me concerned that maybe not a lot of people are planning to attend?

I'm hoping the large mp/3p displays are back this year. Last year there wasn't much of that at all. Mind you it was only a few months after all restrictions were lifted.

Won’t be attending, and it kills me

But I’m off on pat leave, and money is tight
Plus wife doesn’t look forward to the road trip out to Mississauga (and ensuing hotel stay) with 6-month old twins

May attend some of the following lesser toy cons when my leave is up and/or babies are bigger/easier to road trip; we attended FanEx last year for the first time in about a decade, and it’s just as blisteringly large as I remembered, while simultaneously not having as much TF content (as I’m now used to), really miss the Hilton toy cons

As a dealer I can tell you it's been non stop requests on figures.

Attendance should definitely is up this year as well as the hotel has been completely sold out for over a month at this point, last year there were still plenty of rooms available during the con.

First time bringing my kid last year and I know he would totally enjoy those displays.

Sure hoping they return this year.

Congrats on the twins, you and the wife are heroes!

Bring them to the future TFCons when they older.

The Chosen Prime is returning this year to TFcon Toronto so the display cases are back.

I find it interesting this year how we have more voice actors for the Toronto show but less artists and writers.

This is great news!

Going to my first Saturday at TFCon, normally have gone on Sundays when it's less crowded.

I'll say something about a topic that people think, but may not speak about. That of the previous ones I have attended, the body odour has been much better than places like FanExpo or AnimeNorth.

Let's continue that, shower with water & soap, a winning formula.

Re: Expectations for TFcon 2023?

I had an issue with the entrance fee. The TFcon website says, for Sunday, its 30 at the door, or 25 in advance. But to buy a ticket through the website, it adds 6.50 in fees, so uh 31.50 in advance. So I emailed, and got a response, its now 25 at the door on Sunday.

Which is good, cuz that eats into my toy budget.
Happy Hunting to all plastic crack addicts.

Oh, and Ive got one small figure on hold from someone I've bought many times from.
