UT Sharkticon bot and alt mode render.

The title says it all. UT just released a new image for their Sharkticon. Looks good and if the price is right it may just be enough to crush the iGear three packs.

I dont think it would crush the Igear set. I look at it as a cool new troop building variant.

Re: UT Sharkticon bot and alt mode render.

I agree with you to a degree because I will get my three iGear guys and this guy for extra variation.

I just hear a lot of people really hating on the iGear forced three pack and price. If this guy comes out and the price is lower than 1/3 of the iGear price, I can see many just getting this.

Not everyone (and I would assume most don't) troop builds.

Personally, I do to a degree 9damn you MJ and your Junkion kits) So I already know that this guy will be the leader (the most unique is usually the leader) if the price is right and the iGear three pack will be my troops.

Looks pretty good. I wonder about UT's quality. I heard some not-so-great things. For those who bought UT's Not-Predaking, how was the quality?

Re: UT Sharkticon bot and alt mode render.

I do not own UT Predaking but I heard that the downfall was the simple G1 look. According to owners, the quality is there.

Perhaps someone who owns one will chime in with more concrete input but so far, I hear the actual UT quality is good.

Depending on perspective. I think warhawk is a nice fig. Scaled pretty well to the generations figs. The transformation may be basic and overall he may look to have moderate design features - but it works well together. There is sone functionality thst it lacks but it is a nice solid fig. The face plate ibthought was well done. Mebbe i'll do a quick review for everyone on print.

I'll get iGear's three pack for army building and have this one as Wheelie's pet/friend Sharkticon, Gnaw.

Pfft, I'm just making excuses to get both actually. Haha.

I have all the UT Predaking figs so far and I can enthusiastically say they are great! No q/c issues for me at all. Awesome ode to G1 figs with articulation. Simple in design, yes, but a non issue if you are a G1 fan. Also scales really well with MakeToys Green Giant and the Bruticus with FP crossfire upgrade set and should be the same with the FP Menasor. Also well priced if you buy from Robot Kingdom, $64 per fig is worth the money.

These Sharkticon figs should be good quality and I expect a reasonable price point given the Predaking figs.

Hope this helps!

Lately I'm interested in projects that actually get DONE, and UT already has a better track record than iGear in this regard.

Looking great, IMHO

I love the look of this but based on the pic provided couldn't there be the same problem eventually with the arm tabs on this one as with the original?
