I heard Thundertron was a minor character from either Exodus or Exiles. Beyond that I don't know and I'm feeling really luke warm about it.

Reminds me of a power ranger zord, or one of the Zoids Liger models.
Thundertron appeared in Exiles and is the leader of the Pirate faction, my guess is that he'll also make a Prime appearance

At Botcon, Hasbro said his character was part of a pirate faction and that he had an optional peg leg.
