Re: transformers knock offs
Box arrived yesterday. Was in good shape, was lined with foam and the two items had bubblewrap taped to them. No problems with that at all.
I managed to assemble Shadow Commander last night. It was late, I want to look him over some more. But he seems to be just as good as the KO City Commander. Shoulders are a little loose. Feet are pretty tight.
The part of the forearms where the truck cab fold over seems fragile, but thats probably because there is clear plastic there and I don't want use too much pressure unless it cracks around the pins.
He looks good on display, and his sword seems pretty solid. I thought it would be more fragile. Few loose joints on Konvoy. But not bad at all I think for KO.
So, as for KO Toys things went pretty smooth.

Re: transformers knock offs
I ordered the KO Perfect Effects Reflector from KOtoys. I had no problems with order and received the shipment within 2 weeks (good considering I cheaped-out on the shipping).
For ~$12 it is pretty good. The plastic is definitely KO quality, and the set is much larger than what I understand the PE version to be. The set transforms reasonably well and appears to be solid considering what I paid. I'll be re-painting it to me more toon-accurate, which I would never even consider if the set was the PE version. I can certainly see the appeal of the PE version (which would be AWESOME), but at almost $90, I couldn't justify the expense.
In all, the KO was delivered on time, at the agreed-to price and the product was as advertised. I'm not saying that KOtoys will get all my business from now on, but I'm no longer nervous about buying from them.

Wow that's really good time, I went with the cheap shipping as well. And it was about 4 weeks from China to my hands. Not counting the week it took them to mail it.

Re: transformers knock offs
Picked up the KO g1 starscream/thrust molds in yellow, red, green and purple at a dollarstore type of place. Pretty cool.
Also got the insect transformable robots - 3 of the 6 designs shown on the back of the package.

Ok take a look at this. Is this a KO Mirage/Dino?

Re: transformers knock offs
Holy Frak! Where'd you get it? The bot mode on the box looks like a mashup of skids and sideswipe, but what about the actual figure???

It is a mashup of Skids, Mudflap and another. I saw it on Ebay first, then researched it. It doesn't look like Mirage from the movies though when in bot form.
