So, Takara's doing a black Beast Hunters OP and it looks magnificent. What are the chances that it won't be some crazy expensive exclusive? 50/50?  I don't normally pick up black repaints if I already have the original, but dang, if HLJ gets it for less than the Datsuns, I'm all over it.

I downloaded it, it's quite well done. Fortunately I speak Japanese so I don't need the subtitles  but my friend will be stoked to see it here (I'm assuming it will be subtitled and not dubbed).

Have you happened to watch the new CGI Space Pirate Captain Harlock? All my childhood Japanese anime space fantasies are getting CGI remake. What's next? CGI Galaxy Express 999? CGI Gold Lightan?

I saw the trailer for the Captain Harlock, it does look good. Also saw a trailer for a Japanese live action Gatchaman (G-Force/Battle of the Planets) movie which also looked kinda neat. I'd be all over a CG G.E. 999 movie if they did one.
