Re: g1 metroplex question for all you experts
Holy thread revival!!!
I have a later version on Metroplex with plastic tires and chrome stickers it has the "roof support" and the extra plastic covering the metal piece on the right.
To the OP have you got rid of the sun damage yet on your original Metroplex yet?
I have a question of my own, the part in the back to launch scamper down the ramp is there any springs as I dont understand how it pushes the cars out of the bay.

Re: g1 metroplex question for all you experts
^the button actually works by way of 2 levers,no springs at all.pulling back on one translates into pushing forward on the next.

Re: g1 metroplex question for all you experts
The rubber tire version had a problem with the launching paddle breakage the plastic tire version corrected this by addition of the reinforcing tab this however did block scamper from the garage with arms attached looks like you have originals the Ko's i have seen never seem to have the gotten the fold over bay(opposite side of the garage) to close up tight due to missalined hinges,as stated previously the addition of metal and chrome differed due to running adjustments during the run

Re: g1 metroplex question for all you experts
I see the two parts in there(see pic as I took it apart), after a closer look I think one part is broken can any please confirm this. Its the larger piece that is missing a lever that lifts the little upwards.

Re: g1 metroplex question for all you experts
both pieces you pictured are going the same way they sit inside of his chest.(facing left, the triangular chunk being the front)
the very bottom tab should have a tiny nub which fits into the funny looking pacman shape mouth on the front of the bottom chunk.
so yeah,you need a new top/bigger piece

^shouldn't be too bad though, there's a helluva lotta junker metroplex bodies out there, most of them will be snapped in half

Re: g1 metroplex question for all you experts
My Metroplex has the rubber tires and the metal chrome legs, and scamper fits with the arms!

Re: g1 metroplex question for all you experts
I had G1 plastic tires, and I don't think there was that support strut. Scamper fit in fine and launched fine. Also, the tab to the center torso was metal, and he never snapped in half. Oh, and stickers on upper thighs.
So maybe mine had parts from different runs.
