see now this whole thing is saying that even though the visual styles are different....the stories that are being told in wfc/foc/prime/exodus are all connected...only fans will notice the different visual styles because each story is developed by a different team of specialists

I have not seen Prime, but I have played WFC.

You should play WFC through to the end, and then watch season 1 of Prime.

Write down how many inconsistencies there are between WFC and the events Prime depicts that happened in the past on Cybertron.

Then draw your own conclusion.

edit: I've heard that Exodus tried to fix and shoehorn some of the stuff, but neither Prime nor WFC/FOC really consider it canon, based on the events they depict.

I've played through wfc as well, and i do agree with the many inconsistencies part lol......its kind of annoying as well...like the fact that according to "Prime" Optimus should really have been called Orion during WFC cause he doesnt get the matrix until the end haha

I have to agree with this. Before opening Prime Wheeljack, I thought Generations Wheeljack was unassailable. I remember opening and transforming Generations Wheeljack and thinking that it didn't get much better.

Afterwards, comparing them made me almost uncomfortable. Prime Wheeljack is so elegant. I kept looking back at Generations Wheeljack and it made him look chunky by comparison.

I think that the Generations vehicle mode better captures G1 Wheeljack. But the Prime robot mode really can't be beat. No kibble, no clutter, and a very pleasing robot form with great articulation.

It's almost too streamlined for G1. On the other hand, since he was around for a whole one episode, its not like I really think of Wheeljack as TF:Prime either. In any case, Prime Wheeljack really captures the essence of the character and as a Transformer of any line, it really astonished me.

The best thing about the Prime line is that it continues to surprise and amaze me. There's a lot of great design here.

I agree with the great designs. Looking at pictures of FE Starscream, I wasn't convinced. But having it in hand, this figure is much better than I thought. I dislike the hunched over look, I always thought Starscream should have a "regal" stature, but I just pose him with a pelvis thrust. The spindly arms and legs aren't as spindly as they look in pictures.

As for Prime FE Arcee, that figure is so awesome, Arcee should retroactively have been blue instead of the ultra-feminine pink. Scale is way off though, but I'll fix that with a Cyberverse version when need be.

I have to say, THIS is what the entire movie line should have been like.

ok I am going to go out on a limb here and sya that if you are going by inconsistencies in the time-line between WFC and Prime then come on this has been the case in most time lines now I have only seen G1, Beast Wars, Animated and Prime and I have played through WFC alot. Now go back G1, Beast Wars and Animated were all supposed to be on the same time-line but they all have thier own little flaws with them.

Animated wasn't part of the same timeline as G1, or Beast Wars, as far as I know. It was its own self contained reality.

And Beast Wars seems to have errors because it borrowed from both the Sunbow cartoon and the Marvel comic. Its been established already that the Marvel comic and the Sunbow cartoon were not the same reality. Hell, the Marvel UK comics weren't even the same reality as the North American Marvel ones.
