Re: Canada Post strike/lockout may be coming July 2...
For the last few years my HLJ packages have come through without any fees but my last 3 ones have been dinged ~$20. If i really need something urgently I'll use FedEx.. otherwise I can wait for the potential strike to be over.

FYI Neither side has served notice, they can only do so after July 2nd which is about 72 hours so they will still continue likely till the 4th/5th . I called canada post to confirm today

So I want to order from RK as they're cheap for me. Hold off or take my chances? I'm quite concerned that if I order and a strike/lockout occurs, I'm hooped

I'd hold off, what's the point if they lockout anyway since the liberals won't legislate them back to work. Best case scenario they'll come through with a agreement. No sense in paying for something you can't get ASAP. A few days won't kill ya.

Canucktibles has posted on its website that they'll be using FedEx until the potential Canada Post strike ends.

Re: Canada Post strike/lockout may be coming July 2...
Latest news is no strike before Wednesday at the earliest. Coincidentally, I have a parcel due to arrive Wednesday. Will I get my shirt before TFCon or not? Stay tuned.
Stuff in the mail if a strike hits will be held safely/securely, it's just...who knows how long to get it. And improved odds of something going wrong in the backlog.
I'm actually thankful TFCon is going to eat all my money and I won't be tempted to order anything online for a while.
....except for MMC Kultur. But hopefully the strike won't last THAT long, since pre-orders aren't even up for him yet.

Good for Cp, the union is demanding way too much and will force Cp onto bankruptcy and or
business closure with their demands.
