2016 DIY Unicron Stand

New pics have been added as per request.

I must give credit to UNICRON-WMD over at TFW2005 for the idea for this. His thread is linked here:
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tutori...ath-chaos.html

Anyway i first bought a cheapie one and followed his directions only to discover that the "towel tube" is too big to go between Unicrons legs.So i then went and bought this one.

I didn't take any pics during this process but the bottom base has six rubber feet hiding screws. After taking out the screws and bottom cover you have access to the tiny nut(i used 5/32) which holds the rod and spindle thing in place.I removed the spindle and reassembled the whole thing.I found that the screw For the towel holders cap piece fits perfectly in Unicron's "butt"screw hole so no more modding is really needed and viola a stand for my newly acquired Unicron

I did find the placement of the cap screw made Unicron sit slightly upward at an angle but i just used vice grips and reefed the screw forward a little and the positioning of the figure now i can deal with.

Here's a view from the back side of the figure.

Finally using a armada unicron for hopefully a better visual and paint program here's the screw hole used to support the fat pig.

Re: 2016 DIY Unicron Stand

Thank you very much but again all credit should go to the inventor over at TFW otherwise i wouldn't have been able to "borrow" the idea.

Re: 2016 DIY Unicron Stand

this is so getting copied in my display!!!
I currently have the unicron.com stand and i'm now down to using the shorter black support that came with it.
the original longer clear support snapped at the bottom of the peg many years ago.
thanks for sharing!!!

Re: 2016 DIY Unicron Stand

Is there any way you can take a pic of the back so we can get a better visual?
