combiner wars Defensor G1 style/feeling improvement

CW Defensor looks really like the G1 toy, but it doesn't look very nice, and the height doesn't match my other combiners.

There is one simple way to improve the height issue, as shown on this picture that I found online. However 2 issues:
1. First it makes Defensor too slim.
2. It's not stable, because Hotspot's knees is not strong enough to support the whole upper body of Defensor. It's very easy to bend.

So I made these 2 parts to improve this solution, also trying to make CW Defensor looks more like G1 cartoon style.
There is no modification to the original CW Defensor toys.
BTW, I made the hands from the CW Defensor original hands, and the feet from original feet plus Cyberton Optimus Prime's feet.
(And I wasn't able to find Streetwise, so used Breakdown for now)

This is the finishing result.

It's same height as MBC/FOC Bruticus.

====================================
Below is the upgrade to the waist part.

1st, I used the upper arm of 08 Leader Megatron (junker of course), to form the waist part, which can be clicked on Hotspot's thighs.

2nd, drilled 2 small holes in the red circle area. After click on the new parts, insert small metal stick to lock the thigh. (Of course it can be pulled out anytime to release the lock). In this way, the new waist part won't fall and it strength the legs of Hotspot, making it won't bend.

3. Now further improvement on the waist part.
I used Bumblebee's window, Deathstar Vader and 2 piece of Gundam parts to form this new add-on.

Painted it

In the red area, opened U-shape area which can fit and click on Defenser.

That's it.

It doesn't impact Defensor's articulation, not much at least.

Looks from back is also neat.

The most important of all, it looks much better.

And the size matches my other combiners.

the new crotch filler chunk is very cool.
the reused animated leader megatron shoulders kind of stick out a touch though.their general shape of being more rounded with less detail molded into them doesn't really match the rest of defensor's molded in details.any way to add tiny kibble bits to them?nice recycling though.awesome that they fit so well wihout modding the original hotspot thighs

You are right, the animated leader megatron shoulders do kind of stick out, and I'm thinking if I can find better parts, will change that.
