Re: Sick Kids Project - TFA Inferno
Converting Bulkhead into a fire truck is a bit of challenge there. I can't help but think that Bulkhead might make a better pumper than hook-and-ladder truck. (I don't know much about fire trucks--or if I've got those designations right.)
Anyway, with that big bulky body, it looks like it could hold a lot of water or foam or whatever. Those round arms are great for projecting streams of water. On the other hand, it's a bit short to carry a long ladder.
(OK, now I'm rambling.) Airport fire tenders tend to look more like military vehicles than urban fire appliances. Maybe they might offer some inspiration which accords with the military front end of Bulkhead.
Keep up the good work. I'm a recent member here, and I've only just discovered this worthy project, which I shall follow with interest.

That Iron Man blaster looks like it was meant for that ladder...

Re: Sick Kids Project - TFA Inferno
SLAG-LOAD OF NEW PICS lol
(heh slag-load.)
forgot to upload some new pics I had from last night, but hey more for today right? .
- I finally got that modelingputty I needed, so now the ladder has been smoothed out and painted, and is pretty much ready to attach.
- the arm nozzle is nearly done itself; just needs some final adjustments on it
- The ladder base (the part on his arm) is done and ready to paint, just need to grab myself some white Tamiya and an airbrush (thank you Micheal's for carrying them for $50 lol)
- the hands have been repainted to match the limbs; all in Tamiya Chrome Silver. (which looks badass in the sunlight )
all in all, those are the mods I've done to him this week. I'm still waiting on his head and those custom Sick Kids factor symbols, along with getting some pics of our local fire department engines.
...the job never ended does it?

Re: Sick Kids Project - TFA Inferno
That's looking sweet dude. The putty looks like it could be smoothed out a bit more, but that may also be my computer having issues with brightness...
Does that nozzle get in the way of his hand closing for transformation at all?

Re: Sick Kids Project - TFA Inferno
looking sweet so far!!! the only suggestion i would have is the same as cybermonkey's.just a tiny bit more of filling and sanding on the putty areas and it'll be perfection!!!
i like the claw/cannon hand thing !!very g1-ish but updated!!
