I though Transformers were made in Vietnam

They are. Vietnam took Covid very seriously. They started lockdown procedures back in like December 2019 when most places took until Mar. 2020. It is understandable that production would have slowed down. Would also explain why Earthrise wave 2 and 3 had so many minor QC issues, as they were playing catch-up.

I’m hoping (but probably won’t happen) that somehow EB gets the coneheads since they managed to stock the siege alphastrike set (which i think was an amazon exclusive, too?). Wishful thinking...sigh.

This seems to be a case of them having too much stock of the Siege exlusives. You can still buy them new from Amazon so at some point they must have either sold off some of their stock or refused a shipment on new ones that went to other stores.

Got my Micromaster 6pk today and in a box no less. Of course I had to get it from the .com site because the .ca cancelled my order last year. My Botropolis set should be here next week.

Similar here, except that my Micromasters showed up last week. My Botropolis set is scheduled for the 15th, but not shipped yet. Not even billed.

What's silly is that after cancelling our orders for the Micromasters, .ca now has that same 6-pack up for sale.

Same here regarding Botropolis.

I am optimistic as the stock status notes:
"Temporarily out of stock. We are working hard to be back in stock as soon as possible."
...as opposed to them not knowing if or when, simply saying unavailable.

EB also got siege skywarp around the same time, it just sold a lot quicker. I think it had already sold out at amazon when they got it.
