That was quite the loud boom!

Anyone else in Central Ontario feel that large sonic boom around 4:20pm?

It shook the entire house, I thought something blew up, so I went outside but couldn't see anything. My second thought was a sonic boom, must have been a meteor or something. Now im hearing reports it was a meteor, someone said on my facebook they saw it over the Oshawa area.

Re: That was quite the loud boom!

Damn, I thought it was my illusion. So it's real.

I just came out from the 80 action figure expo, driving on 407, from west to east. Then I saw from the clear sky, a comet thing going down, last for about 1 second, very clear, bright red.

My first thought was it was an airplane crushed, then I thought maybe a meteor, because the time was too short. I looked at the clock, it was at 4:18.

I was thinking to ask on this forum when I back home, because I thought quite a few memembers would see the same thing when leaving the 80 action figure expo at 4 pm, like I did. Then I saw this post.

Hopin to see if anyone caught it on video! Lots of cameras on the 401, had to have been caught on camera somewhere.

I was sitting at my moms looking out the window the moment it happened, facing east, but it was cloudy, i didnt see anything (im in peterborough)

The houe shook, i though the window was gonna break.

I doubt if anyone would have enough time to capture it on video, and it was pretty high in the sky. I was on 407 & 410 area at that time, and the meteor thing was seen on the upper half of my front windshield.
So unless someone was aiming at the sky then...

All these remind me Transformer the movie 1, when autobots arrived at earth.

Re: That was quite the loud boom!

I was downstairs with my sister pinning Raven's shirt when we heard this loud, strange sound, since we were in the basement, we didn't see anything and thought it was a low plane. It was a pretty strange whirling woosh boom sound. It was after we went online half an hour later that we found out many others heard it and what it was.

I heard it, but I didn't see it sadly. T_T

Re: That was quite the loud boom!

I saw it on the 401 east after leaving the expo.
Looked like a meteor to me.
It reminded me of the last scene of "independence day"

Was it easily a hundred times more cooler than Armageddon? If so you guys may wanna check the impact site before it trans-scans and disappears in disguise.

That scene is best part among the 3 transformers movies, and if I was that close to the impact site, it would probably 100 times more cooler than Armageddon.

Seems after 1 day, the impact site is still not found? So another Autobot concealed his existence successfully.
