Regarding the overpriced debate, right now official Shockwave is more expensive than 3rd party Shockwave. Of course that may change in the future or it may not. Just sayin'

Now on topic, I'm liking Quakewave better than the official version. I'll wait for better pictures and color to make up my mind.

I don't own Quakewave but have always thought it was really well executed; I still do. Having said that, I'm liking the proportions of the official MP figure better. I'm really looking forward to adding an official MP Shockwave to my collection.

When Quakewave got revealed originally, I really felt the design could of been a lot more refined, and that FansToys missed alot of easy design elements, that I knew for a fact Takara would get right on their design, like the more sleeker legs. And obviously the correct position of the cable. For what MP is suppose to be, for me, Takara's design looks spot on so far. The only thing I really hope is the center chest piece and hand cannon are translucent.

If Takara didn't do Shockwave at all, I'd totally go for Cloud9, based on design. Their Shockwave is much sleeker, compared to FT's blockier look. But now that makes me wonder, if Cloud9 will even release their version.

Well I definitely cancelled my Quakewave reissue preorder. Takara's definitely fixes all the issues I had with QW.

Though I don't know why people are arguing about MP Shockwave's price as its obviously BBTS pricing it way higher than it should be, one they are probably trying to discourage people from cancelling there QW preorders and two BBTS is crazy overpriced. Didn't they charge like $70 usd for bumblebee and like over $200 for MP ultramagus?

Keep in mind the MP Shockwave shown is a very rough prototype. IMO Takara definitely got the right cartoon style and proportion without being overly stylized. Hopefully Takara will get the correct colour in their plastic too. It should be more violet rather than purple.

Thanks for the pics. That cloud 9 shockwave looks amazing.

I know it isn't accurate, but I like the legs on Quakewave the best.

Looking at the drawing you can see how faithful Takara was in their MP figure. Amazing job.
